The Holy Church of God Mission on Clay Street, Hinesville, Georgia, was born in the heart and home of Mr. and Mrs. Talmadge Floyd in the year of 1958. Brother C.M. Butler and some of the kind people from Savannah Holy Church of God came to be with us, helping with the singing and preaching. Within seven months, our congregation had moved into a brand new small white church on Clay Street.
In March of 2011 the Lord brought Brother Jeptha and Sister Allyson Newberry to help Sister Floyd. About year after this the Lord moved upon Sister Floyd and she spoke to the congregation about it. She said that she had prayed for many years regarding who was to step in when she was no longer able to lead and she said God brought a man that she knew would love the people. She then said, “I give you your new Pastor.”
In June of 2013 we were able to have our first service in our new church building. We are grateful for the heritage that Bro. and Sis. Floyd passed down to us and we are excited about the future of Crossroads Holy Church of God. We look forward to seeing you next Sunday!
